Sweater Update and Giveaway

I don't write a lot about knitting. That's primarily because I don't do all that much knitting. But I like to knit and I like wearing and giving knitted items and I like to use knitting as a distraction from what I really should be doing. So, there's been some knitting going on here.
In the heat of the summer I bought some yarn to make the February Lady Sweater and oftentimes that's where the project ends. This time though things seem( I say cautiously) different. Hey, don't take my word for it. I have evidence.

I have one sleeve to finish and then it's ready to be blocked. I've already bought the buttons.

If you live in Austin or are visiting and want to be amazed, startled, brought to your knees by beautiful buttons(and who doesn't want to be brought to their knees by buttons), then you've got to stop by Silk Road . They have these amazing antique display cases filled with buttons unlike any you've ever seen. Seriously, you're not going to run into buttons like these at Joann's. Go ahead, buy a plane ticket and come into to town to eat Tex-Mex at Guerro's and buy buttons at Silk Road.
Before you do either of those things though, leave a comment and I'll enter you in my giveaway of these:

I got three complimentary copies of Stitch. Impatience led me to buy a copy at the store and my Mom only needs one to add to her collection of everything I've done since second grade, so that leaves me with two extra. And who better to share them with than you. Any comments between now(11:33 CST) and Sunday at 6:00pm CST will be entered in the drawing. I'll announce the winners on Monday.
Happy Weekending!

Guero's and Silk Road ... and your secret thrift shop ... what a perfect way to spend a day!
Thanks for your giveaway : )

Beautiful sweater. My parents live down the road from Silk Road. Such an amazing store. Yummy Guerro's too. My husband loves that place (as do I) so we usually go at least once a year when we visit the fam. Can't get yummy food quite like that in Massachusetts.

I've seen that sweater before, somewhere on flickr. And I liked it a lot. Is that one for yourself? It's really nice.
I hope I win the stitch copy, because I want to see your project there!

Contempo sewing?? What - is there such a thing?? I kid... Seriously, the magazine seems like a great idea, and a good way to engage younger people in the "fiber arts." Thanks for doing the giveaway! :)

It's a lovely sweater. I've made EZ's original baby version and thoroughly enjoyed the pattern. I hope you finish the sleeve, block it and get those fabulous buttons on in time for this season!

Lovely sweater! I so impressed. I've only knitted one (kinda wonky) washcloth. All those crazy abbreviated instructions for patterns really intimidate me. And I have been dying to check out the new Stitch!

I love your quilt in Stitch magazine. I've been looking for a quilt that's abit different (in a good way) to put on my living room wall and I think yours fits the bill. I'll have to buy the book if I don't win it. The knitting is terrific too. I saw the pattern somethwere else and saved it for my SIL in the hopes she'd take pity on me and knit me up one. I'm all thumbs when it comes to knitting. Congrats, eutonisAnn

Crud, I don't get much of a chance at the computer on weekends with kids home and all. I missed the deadline, I may just have to splurge on this one.
