I love bluebonnets! My mother was from San Antonio, Texas and each year we would go south (We live in OK) to see them. These pictures bring back such great memories. Thanks for posting them
I'm visiting my son and his family in CA and missing the Bluebonnets something awful. Thank you so much for posting the beautiful photos of them! They will keep me going until I get home and can take more of them myself. :) Can't wait to show them to my granddaughters!
Seeing your pics of flowers, I thought they were Lupin, a flower common in the mountains in Southern California. I realize they're not but it still brought back memories of the time my family spent at Big Bear Lake. I too I'm working with blue right now. Have a peek.
just yesterday I was thinking about how the natural color of spring (in the Pacific Northwest, anyway) is blue and grey. Sure, we have tulips and daffodils and crocus that span the spectrum, but the real colors of spring (in my eyes) are blue and grey and palest pink, from the sunrises (that we can finally see!)
Here in Germany green is THE spring color. Lots of creative blogs are featuring green creations. On April 14 there will even be a Day of Creativity: Show me your green! Your beautiful blue flowers are a very early hint of summer feeling.
I just recently discovered your blog and enjoy it. :-)
Loved the bluebonnet pictures! I spent 8 years in Austin and am now in NY. I miss the wildflowers along the highways too! Best ones IMHO are between San Antonio and Corpus.
Hi Malka, I loved your studio pages in the new craft paper scissors magazine and I do hope you will visit me at my ETSY pages www.fabulicity.etsy.com and share some inspiration about how to get some fabulous primitive clothing for my bunnies. Thanks love your blog, too. Kindest Regards, Lindy
Loved your blues.....all of them ! It's snowing here today in the mountains of Idaho....nice to see a hint of Spring ! Many thanks for your blog.... Fran
I grew up in Dallas and my parents now live in East Texas and there is nothing like the hillsides covered with the bluebonnets in the spring. About the only thing about Texas I miss! Oh, and good beef brisket.

Love the shots of the bluebonnets. Makes me think of home.
Beautiful! Here in England we have the lovely bluey purple in the grape hyacinths with the golden yellow daffodils!
