It seems to be working.
I especially like the circles discharged and overdyed from the cheater cloth as the "stitching" that's printed on the fabric remains visible.
I've got another batch of these ready and am planning to assemble and quilt the mini quilt today. Good thing too as I'm leaving for market bright and early on Friday.
I hope to be back here tomorrow to show you the finished project.
In the meantime, check out this terrific piece the Darra Williamson, writer and editor extraordinaire, put together about me and a stitch in color. Thanks so much, Darra!

Oh, love your experimental dyeing!
Your colours are great and also your blog. From the Netherlands: thanks for sharing it.
Love love love this! I've been trying to get up the nerve to try dying.
I love the bold colors and the contrast between the squares and circles. They really pop. This quilt is going to be gorgeous.
Beautiful blog too. Lovely to meet you.

Can i just say very loudly...YOU are AMAZING! I absolutley love your creations. I tell everybody about your fabric from Moda coming out in Jan. and I want to be the first to get my hands on it. I work at a fabric store and I keep telling them you MUST get your fabric in. When I first saw these squares on the white background I thought it was a quilt...the way you have them layed on there is so cool...but then i realized it's on a flannel board, but it could be layed out just like that for a quilt, it would be so fun. have a great day creating. janae'
These look fantastic! The colours and prints are right up my alley.
