Heb je nieuws?

What's new? You ask in Dutch. Well, as a matter of fact, I was informed yesterday by my publisher, Interweave Press, that my book, Fresh Quilting: Fearless Color, Design, and Inspiration is set to be translated into Dutch. To that I respond ik spreek geen Nederlands, but how cool is that?

How cool? she asks. Unbelievably cool that’s how... I have a friend in the Netherlands and she quilts too. I will notify her when the book gets published.

ok you got my attention there! Not that I would have trouble reading your book in English but it being translated means it will be much easier to come by here. And to that I say...dank je!

That’s pretty cool, because most Dutch quilters prefer their books and patterns in Dutch.
Personally I prefer the original books in English.

I speak a little Dutch, stayed in s'Hertogenbosch for 4 months in my crazy 20's. How exciting for you! I hope you get to visit, it's a beautiful country! And while you're there, skip on over to Germany, you won't be sorry.
