30-Day Challenge: Work Space

Making it in a bit under the wire, but who's keeping track, right?
I've been spending a lot of time lately in this space as I'm working on another fabric collection. The ideas have come a little more slowly this time and I've rejected more than I've selected. All that is a little unusual for me, but maybe that's the way the 2012 version of me works. Tomorrow is always a mystery and you have to be willing to roll with the punches, even if you're the one throwing them.

Congrats on having the opportunity to design another collection of fabric! As I read about your struggles with acceptable selections for the second go 'round, it made me think about musicians' first albums, which are often quite good. (I'm old and remembering when people put out whole albums.) Then their second album may have taken quite a while to come out. I think it could be because for the first collection, the ideas may have been percolating for some time. Then people expect a second collection quickly. Sometimes that's reasonable and other times it may not be. In any case, my wishes to you are that all of your dye baths be successful! May all of your visions gracefully unfold onto the cloth! Good luck!

Just glad to hear you'll be doing it again. I'm still (hungrily, breathlessly) waiting to get my hands on your first; it hasn't arrived here and I'm trying to support local shops as they are closing at a frightening rate.

Hang in there, remember how often our most creative work comes from ideas born of struggle. I'm sure your 2012 will be fantastic!

I have no doubt that the 2nd will be as fabulous as the 1st! Can't wait to get my hands on each!

I was at the fabric store yesterday and saw your collection! it's really very wonderful and I'll get some next time. I'm on a 'no buying fabric till I have a project in mind for it' thing. It's really lovely! Looking forward to your next line!

Finally got a few charms packs of your line...been playing with it nonstop! Would love to show you a pic of my finished quilt when I'm done. Your booth at the Palmer events center a few years back reinspired me. Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration!
